The FAA has awarded Rapco Fleet Support multiple parts manufacturer approvals (PMAs) for its replacement torque tubes used on Hawker 600s through 850s, Citation S550s and 560s, and Fairchild Metroliners. With the approval, operators may now use the new FAA-approved Rapco parts in place of the original equipment without restriction.
The Rapco PMA allows for full interchangeability and simultaneous use with the original Dunlop, ABSC, and BFGoodrich brake parts. Rapco Fleet Support (Booth No. 4913) is based in Hartland, Wis.
“Although these parts are not often replaced as part of a brake overhaul, OEM parts availability, and high pricing has been an issue for operators of these aircraft needing replacement torque tubes,” said Rapco Fleet Support sales manager Rusty Keagle. “Along with our line of FAA/PMA replacement wear parts for these aircraft, operators now have a less expensive and more available option to the original equipment when they need to replace their torque tubes.”
